Lamai Beach Events Calendar 2026
What is actually on around Lamai Beach and the rest of Koh Samui in the last two months of 2026. This is a curated listings guide rather than a plain list of Thai public holidays: island festivals, one-off beach-club nights, markets and the seasonal fixtures that draw people to Samui, each with a line on why it is worth your evening. Dates are pinned to the organiser where possible and every dated entry carries its sources.
🗓️ Scope: Koh Samui and Surat Thani province. The Gulf islands next door (Koh Phangan, Koh Tao) are included only where the event is a genuine Samui draw and boats leave from Samui piers. Forward-year listings continue on the Lamai Beach Events Calendar 2027.
November 2026
Festivals and fixtures
24 November 2026 (Tuesday) — Loy Krathong. Thailand's festival of lights: small
lotus-shaped floats are released onto water at dusk to thank the water goddess and let go of the past
year. On Samui the krathongs go out from the Chaweng lake and the beachfronts, with Wat Plai Laem and
Wat Phra Yai as the focal temples.
Why go: the most photogenic night of the Thai year, and genuinely local rather than a
staged show — the whole island takes part.
Source: Koh Samui Travel Hub — Loy Krathong. Note: a minority of listings give 25 November; the full-moon
logic behind the same month's Full Moon Party points to 24 November.
24 November 2026 (Tuesday) — Full Moon Party, Haad Rin, Koh Phangan. The region's
biggest recurring night: an all-night beach party on Haad Rin. Access is by boat or ticket from Samui
(Big Buddha / Bang Rak pier, roughly 30–60 minutes across).
Why go: the single most famous night in the Gulf of Thailand, and an easy overnight run
from Samui.

Listings
3 November 2026 — Halfmoon Festival (electronic music, 3 PM–midnight), Harmony Beach
Club, Koh Phangan.
Why go: the mid-month answer to the Full Moon Party, smaller and easier to get into.

7–8 November 2026 (Saturday–Sunday) — Samui Trail trail-running race, based at
Ban Laem Hoi School, Ban Tai, Koh Samui, Surat Thani.
Why go: the island's proper running event, with jungle and beach sections you cannot see
from a road.

7, 14, 21 and 28 November 2026 (all Saturdays) — Love Rosé Saturdays, a pool party with
rosé specials and resident DJs from 2 PM, Love Beach Club and Resort, Bo Put.
Why go: a relaxed daytime party on the sand — go early, stay for sunset.
Source: Love Beach Club — Love Rosé Saturdays.
23–24 November 2026 — Jungle Experience, DJs, fire shows, live art and Muay Thai,
Baan Tai, Koh Phangan.
Why go: a two-night festival that mixes Thai performance with club music, timed around the
Full Moon Party week.

Courses and things that run all month
Diving: there is no dated diving festival, but PADI five-star centres run daily trips
to Sail Rock, Angthong Marine Park and Koh Tao — The Dive Academy, Samui Discovery Divers, Dive Point
Samui and Silent Divers.
Why go: the clear-season visibility and the whale-shark chance at Sail Rock.
Source: PADI — Diving in Koh Samui.
Boat trips and cruises: the Junk Chantara runs group day and sunset cruises (Tuesday,
Thursday, Saturday), and there are sunset and sailing trips around Samui plus Angthong Marine Park by
sailing boat.
Why go: the easiest way to see the island group from the water without booking a private
charter.

Practical note: the wet season usually starts late October or early November, so build a flexible plan for early November and keep the beach-club nights for the drier second half of the month. No Thai national public holiday falls in November.
